Six Month Braces

Six Month Braces utilizes the techniques of traditional orthodontics and puts a modern twist on them. First off, the brackets are clear and the wires are tooth colored so they are hardly noticeable. The key difference between the two are Six Month Smiles uses wires with a shape memory that moves your teeth back into it’s original shape, regardless of how bent or twisted it becomes when on your teeth.

The other main difference is the use of lower force which actually moves your teeth faster and is less painful than conventional metal braces. Since they don’t have to be worn as long, Six Month Braces are typically a cheaper option as well. Your teeth will look great in no time!

Conventional Metal Braces

Before the invention of accelerated braces, conventional braces were the only option for everyone. The wires and brackets are made of metal so they stand out more than Six Month Braces do, and conventional braces are typically worn for 1 – 2 years, depending on the level of adjustment needed. If your bite is severely misaligned or your teeth are extremely crooked, conventional braces will be the better option for correction.
