I called to check my insurance and was told they take all PPO PLANS.then I get there and they tell me it's out of network and I'll have to pay out of pocket... I'm just thinking, is this not why I called to verify my insurance? I initially had a wonderful review written, because after my initial visit I WAS impressed. However my last several visits have not. At my last visit I came for a filling, and within 45 mins from leaving the office my face was swollen, bruised, and I was in incredible amount of pain. I called the office and was told the Dr was gone, so that I would get a call back when they became available. Which I did, but not until the next business day. Then, I reluctantly scheduled an additional filling, went to the appointment but was told I couldn’t keep my appointment until I paid $360 that they were charging me BEFORE billing my insurance. I just feel like everything is a cash grab. Several years ago I had the good fortune to receive a referral to Stratman Family Dentistry. I have since had implants, bridges and other incidental dental work performed by Dr. Stratman. All this work was performed to the highest current standards in Dentistry. Although he is extremely busy most of the time, he has spent the time with me to understand procedures. Furthermore, his staff has been great! Randy and the other folks in the front office have been very courteous and great to work with. I would also like to recognize dental assistant, Yolanda, and hygienist, Jodie. The staff at Stratman Family Dentistry is generally friendly and professional. Richelle is an amazing hygienist and she always does a great job! Prices are reasonable and they don't require insurance, though to my knowledge they no longer do payment plans. They do however accept CareCredit. Dentistry is never cheap but they try to make it affordable, and if a price changes or something is more (or less) than expected, they take the time to explain it to you. I wish I would have noticed all the negative feedback from previous customers. My experience: they make you wait 2.5 months for a basic cleaning("we're short a hygenist"). They want you to verify via text message that you are going to keep the appointment--then send another text message reconfirming the appointment. THEN THEY CALL YOU THE MORNING OF YOUR APPOINTMENT TO CANCEL AND RESCHEDULE("our hygenist called in sick"). Keep in mind, I was a new patient. Their time is more valuable then yours and maybe this is how they treat all new patients. The dentist who worked on me looked like a hippy and front desk guy, Randy, has a temper and is very unprofessional. Just had a cleaning and two cavities filled recently Dec 2024 by Dr Levy and her team at Dr Stratman's east side office. Dr. Levy is funny, knows her craft, got the cavities filled fast and painlessly! Lisa added brevity and knew each step before Dr. Levy even asked. A week prior to that Nikki did an outstanding thorough job cleaning my teeth. Tricia and Randy make the billing smooth and as expected. No big surprises there. Also no anxiety. I just want to say, as someone who suffers from major anxiety with the dentist I was treated so well and so quickly for having 2 extractions I am completely blow away by Dr Levy and her team made this visit so enjoyable. I'm on day two and I feel great without any pain meds. I am so impressed by the customer service I received and the kindness and comfort that I received I totally recommended this dental team to anyone sitting on the fence and that has the same anxiety as me cause they will take great care of you. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!! Can't wait to come back and have the rest of my work done. Happy holidays to all of you and see you in the new year!!!! Amazing!!!!!
